We were in Antigua many years ago and didn’t have a bug problem-mosquitoes are acceptable-BUT not tarantulas. I can’t promise you won’t see a tarantula (or horse spider as they are called in Antigua). However it is very unlikely. I see many more spiders in my house in England than insects/spiders in Antigua.
Don’t worry about them – it is still quite rare to encounter them and as on any island , any where in the world, that is what nature is all about!
