The 72 stone steps leading up to the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have become known as the “Rocky Steps” as a result of a scene from the film Rocky. Tourists often mimic Rocky’s famous climb, a metaphor for an underdog or an everyman rising to a challenge.
Thomas Schomberg was commissioned to create a statue of Rocky Balboa for the movie “Rocky III.”

The small farm where Rocky lived and trained was in Jackson Hole, and Grand Teton National Park was used for filming many of the outdoor sequences in the Soviet Union. The PNE Agrodome at Hastings Park in Vancouver, British Columbia served as the location of Rocky’s Soviet bout.
