Biltmore House daytime admission starts at $66 per adult when purchased online. Prices vary by date and season. Youth ages 10-16 receive discounted admission. Kids 9 and under are free.
While admission to Biltmore Estate isn’t free, you can tour the Biltmore Village galleries free of charge. Highlights include the church the Vanderbilt’s attended as well as more than 40 shops and 10 cafes and restaurants.
Biltmore is a private estate, and an admission ticket is required to access the property. A ticket includes a self-guided visit through Biltmore House as well as access to the gardens, Conservatory, Antler Hill Village and Farm, as well as the Winery with a complimentary tour and tasting.
While the price of admission is steep, it’s worth it. The mansion is beautiful, as are the grounds. You can spend a whole day. I would recommend the audio tour, which gives you the back story on the Vanderbilts.

Biltmore Estate does not have a dress code, and most of our visitors wear casual attire. We recommend dressing for the weather and wearing layers as Biltmore House is not air conditioned nor does it get overly warm in the winter.
Biltmore is a driving estate and we highly recommend that you have your own vehicle during your visit. A daytime admission ticket includes a self-guided visit through Biltmore House as well as access to the gardens and Conservatory, Antler Hill Village and Farm, and the Winery for a tour and tasting.
Plan on spending at least one full day at Biltmore. Two days are recommended because there is so much to see and do on our 8,000-acre estate: the house, gardens, Winery, working farm, and a variety of outdoor activities, shops, and exceptional dining options.

Movies. The Biltmore Estate takes the prize for being the locale of the most movies shot in the Asheville area. At least 15 movies have been filmed at least partly at Biltmore House or elsewhere on Biltmore Estate, including Being There, The Swan, Richie Rich, The Last of the Mohicans and Patch Adams.
The old Shiloh neighborhood included approximately a dozen former slaves. It included several homes dotted along what once was the land of their former owner, a church, and a cemetery. When Vanderbilt bought the property, he paid $1,000 to the church.

Per current CDC guidance and the latest Buncombe County mandate, the use of face coverings indoors and while on Biltmore House parking lot shuttles is required for all Biltmore employees and guests at least 5 years of age, regardless of vaccination status.
Biltmore Estate is all casual dress, with the only exception being The Dining Room at the Inn for dinner.
Inside Biltmore House
Taking photographs by cell phone or cameras, without flash, is permitted on the self-guided tour for personal use only. No commercial photography is allowed. Photography is not permitted on specialty tours inside Biltmore House.
Question:Do I need to pay for parking? No, parking is included in admission.
It takes a while to drive in, get admitted to the grounds, wend your way to parking, and walk to the house. I’d get there by 8:30, no later. The house tour should take 2 hours.
Because we do not offer estate-wide transportation, you will need to continue to utilize external transportation (such as personal vehicles, rental vehicles) throughout your visit. Note: wheeled luggage is NOT permitted in the Biltmore House & Gardens area.
