UC SAN DIEGO BLUE LINE cable car time schedule overview for the upcoming week: Starts operating at 12:18 AM and ends at 11:48 PM. Operating days this week: everyday.
The Trolley stops at La Jolla, Mt. Soledad and Old Town Market. You can explore and enjoy things to do in La Jolla. Known as the “Jewel” of San Diego, La Jolla offers chic boutiques, upscale shops, restaurants and the most magnificent beaches you’ll ever see.
The CTA Blue Line provides 24-hour rapid transit train service between Chicago-O’Hare International Airport(Opens in a new window) and the Forest Park terminal, via downtown Chicago.
The blue line is generally safe. Ride in the front car with the train operator for added safety. No issues with Clark/Lake or walking to your hotel.
The Orange Line is operational for 16 hours per day, between 06:00 and 22:00.
Trains operate every 24 minutes.
By and large, its mostly safe. But it’s important to always be conscious of your surroundings just like any other location. There are more dangerous areas to travel, such as the green line west and green line south, however. It is about as safe as the Pink line, and the Red line at night.
The Chicago Midway Airport is technically open 24-hours, though Security checkpoints do shut down at night. If you’re already inside the Secure areas before closing time, you will be asked to move the public/pre-Secure area.
125 years old
The Chicago L is now 125 years old. This network of elevated trains and subways is how Chicagoans get around. But it’s also an iconic symbol of the city. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, many American cities used elevated trains to transport their residents.
There are currently 36 rail lines. The Archer Avenue Lines and the 63rd Street Lines are each classified as two separate lines due to their structure: both lines are able to serve two divisions (the BMT and the IND) on distinct sections of track.

Is it possible to enjoy your stay in San Diego without a car? Absolutely! With a growing public transportation system, bike paths, boardwalks, ferries, and more, San Diego is becoming easier and easier to navigate without a car.
Admittance to the park grounds is free. Once inside the Park, explore the lush gardens and trails. The Botanical Building and Timken Art Museum are always free.
2, all rides will be free on San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and North County Transit District (NCTD) services, including the Trolley, COASTER, SPRINTER and fixed-route buses.
There are a number of stations you can get off at downtown, but the closest Blue Line station to Millennium Park is the Washington station. If you’re looking to transfer trains or explore more of the Loop, the Clark/Lake station is a good one to hop off at.
The Blue Line is quick and safe. Because of the people traveling and working around O’Hare, the trains are crowded well into the night. Just use common sense as you would anywhere in the city.
The “L” is safe. You just have to keep your witts about you. Dont flash cash or cell phones. You can also ride in the lead car with the motorman.
It’s safe, and considered safe by people like me who live here and use it almost every day. . . at all hours of the day/night. A couple of the el/subway lines are less crowded in the middle of the night (2 a.m. >) and I’d be more careful traveling on them than on the other lines.
