Yes, the water parks at Walt Disney World are open year round, with each of the two closing for refurbishment for a couple of months at separate times. Generally, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will close at the end of October until early January, at which point Disney’s Blizzard Beach will close until early March.

There is nothing like winter in Florida—because there is NOTHING like winter in Florida! 🙂 So, to answer your question (oops, I got carried away), yes, there is usually at least one water park open during the winter. They will close for refurbishment in the winter but usually just one at a time.
Many of the water rides see seasonal refurbishments in the month of February. Typically one of the water parks will close, but currently, only Blizzard Beach is operating (Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon has not reopened yet). … Keep in mind though that water parks will close on days with lower temperatures.

While one water park will be open in November, it is subject to closure when the weather gets especially cold or nasty. The Disney resort pools and most Orlando hotel pools are heated! There are a ton of events hoppening in November, and quite a few major events.
The weather at Disney World in December is fairly dry with warmer days and chilly nights making it a great time of the year to visit. The average high for Orlando in December is 73 degrees with the average low being 50 degrees.
If at all possible, we recommend avoiding through January 1-10, 2022 because many local schools are still on holiday break for those dates. It’ll get bad after the holiday weekend, as blockouts for most Floridian Annual Passholders are lifted on January 3 and that will result in a surge of guests on that date.
