Soak City will not open for the 2020 summer season as Knott’s awaits COVID-19 guidelines for safely reopening California theme parks that have yet to be released by the state.
Soak City is open mid-May through early-September. Separate admission required.
Regrettably, due to continued operating restrictions related to the pandemic, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel our highly anticipated 2020 Knott’s Scary Farm event.
Lounge chairs are available on a first come first serve basis. Lounge chairs must remain in designated areas. Guests may leave Soak City and return later the same day by showing the Soak City hand stamp obtained at the exit gate also with a ticket or season pass.
Knott’s Berry Farm is set to officially reopen May 21 but today they have even more exciting news with the confirmation that Knott’s Soak City Water Park will reopen this year from May 29 through September 12!
Soak City originally opened in 1989 as a 12-acre (4.9 ha) water park under the name WaterWorks featuring 15 water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river ride called Action River. WaterWorks was the first themed area to be added to Kings Island since 1976, bringing the total to seven. The cost was roughly $4 million USD.

This attraction is a slow-moving 1,780 foot long lazy river. Maximum water depth is 2’6”. Guests may walk or swim in the Sunset River.
A guest at Knott’s Berry Farm fell more than 100 feet to her death late Friday night while riding Perilous Plunge, billed by the theme park as having the steepest and highest drop of any water ride in the world. … The Orange County coroner’s office said the cause of death was multiple blunt trauma.
Reservations are still required to visit Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City Waterpark, but we have some important updates! If you are visiting Knott’s Berry Farm, you will no longer need to select an entry time, just a date.

Knott’s Scary Farm runs select nights September 16 – October 31, 2021. Knott’s Scary Farm opens at 7 p.m. and closes at 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. depending on the night. For a complete list of dates and hours, visit our calendar page.
Avoid touching your face. The State of California strongly recommends that park guests be either fully vaccinated, obtain a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending the park, or wear a face covering while outdoors.
TICKETS: Knott’s Soak City general admission for adults is $28.99. For children between ages 3-11 or for seniors 62+ admission is only $17.99. If you want to save a few dollars, pre-purchase your tickets online, print them at home, and knock off $5 (for adult tickets only).
First things first! Children 2 and under get into Knott’s Berry Farm for FREE. I don’t know about you, but we love free!!! Kids ages 3-11 will need a Junior Ticket!
Reservations are no longer required for any guest, but you are encouraged to purchase tickets or Season Passes online in advance for your visit.

This area is for children under 54 inches tall. The entire pool area is very shallow and safe for all the little ones to splash around, but still has many lifeguards on duty. The submarine in the middle has three little slides and the kids can even go in and out of the submarine, which also sprays water.
You don’t need to bring alcoholic drinks to Knott’s Soak City. You can purchase beer and wine throughout the park at the vendors.

So as long as your toddler can sit next to you, they can ride these rides. And all of them are fun and not scary! The Huff and Puff and Flying Ace rides are the two rides that kids as small as 32” inches can ride on without an adult. These happen to be my kids’ favorite rides when they were toddlers.
No other outside food, drink or snack items are permitted in Knott’s Berry Farm or Knott’s Soak City. Items not allowed in the park include radios, stereos, luggage, and large coolers (Larger than 1’x1’x1′). Wagons used as strollers are allowed.
