With its beautiful wooden beam that separated the living room from the kitchen, a giant window, and a balcony to peek at the people living across the street – the apartment was indeed a happy place full of fun and laughter.

Even though the characters were supposed to be living in New York City, the series never shot there. Instead Friends was filmed on the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank, California—which you can still visit today.
