Discover a flurry of fun at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park at Walt Disney World Resort, including waterslides, raft rides, a lazy river and a one-acre wave pool. The upcoming spring water park reopening is yet another step forward in Disney World’s phased reopening process, which began in July 2020.
Masks are not allowed to be worn in the water or on water slides. For Blizzard Beach, masks are required in the restrooms and dressing rooms, shops and any fully indoor locations. All of the dining locations are outdoors so you are not required to wear a mask.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park both have water slides, children’s play areas, pools, and family fun for all ages. The majority of the pools don‘t go any deeper than 5 feet.
Blizzard Beach is the largest water park at Walt Disney World Resort. It applies an outrageous ski resort theme to an awesome water adventure park. It’s action-oriented, with the emphasis on slides and thrills. It features over 17 slides, a wave pool, an area for pre-teens, and an area especially for little tikes.
You really can’t walk from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Blizzard Beach. These two locations are further apart than they appear on most maps of Walt Disney World. I recommend that you take a complimentary Disney bus from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Blizzard Beach.

If you’d like a guaranteed spot to have as a home-base while on your visit to Blizzard Beach, Disney offers a couple different options. To book either you’ll need to call (407) WDW-Play. Sometimes there are same-day spots available.
Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24″ long x 15″ wide x 18″ high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.

Yes, you are permitted to wear water shoes on most of the the rides at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. On the very high slides like Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach, you will have to hold your water shoes in your hands while your are on the ride.

With rain, try and check out the weather before you go to see what the chance of storms is for your day there.
