CocoCay or Little Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, is one of the Berry Islands, a collection of cays and small islands, and is located approximately 55 miles north of Nassau. It is used for tourism by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd exclusively.
CocoCay is Royal Caribbean’s private island. Located about 240 miles from Port Canaveral, this small island is reserved only for the company’s cruise ships. It is also in close proximity to Nassau, Bahamas, which is only about 65 miles away. However, the only way to get to the island currently is on a cruise.

A partnership between Royal Caribbean International and Bahamas Port Investments has purchased the Grand Lucayan Resort on Grand Bahama in The Bahamas.
Snorkellers may see the occasional shark at CocoCay as there are many sharks in the Bahamas. However, there has never been a shark attack here. The water is very clear and the sharks have good eyesight so can see that humans are not food.
Guests are required to carry a valid Permanent Resident Card (also known as ARC or Green Card), that includes a photo I.D. In addition, U.S Permanent Residents must contact the appropriate embassy or consulate of the countries they will be visiting for specific travel documentation requirements.
The group consists of 700 islands and 2,400 cays with an area of 5,358 sq. miles (13,878 sq. km.). Thirty of the islands are inhabited.
It’ll cost $79 to $139 per ride. Rides on a new helium observation balloon that is planned for the island will cost $39 to $99 for adults. The cost for children ages 4 to 12 will be $24 to $64. Children under the age of three will ride for free.

Is The Key worth it? The Key certainly sounds like a good investment for a lot of cruises, especially those new to Royal Caribbean, because it offers benefits and access that might not otherwise be available to them at all. In my experience, I found the benefits sound a lot better on the surface than they really are.
