Croix is objectively superior to the other regarding tourist destinations. They both have lovely beaches, great views, and historical landmarks. That said, St. Thomas has more adventure and thrilling types of attractions.
STX is less expensive than STT as well. There is a variety of accommodation at all price points on the island. It is much less crowded and less touristy and I think it has more of an island feel than STT.
St. Thomas is crowded, covered with tourists, terrible traffic, busy. St. Croix is much more relaxed, much bigger, open spaces, much less traffic congestion and in my opinion, much nicer people.
